Christmas Morning

Christmas isn't complete without new sleds!
Abra-Cadabra! Ala-Kazam! Every boy needs a magic set!
Brad got his flip cam! B and B stunt shows coming right up!
Santa brought Brad a weight bench and Breven a drafting table for his artwork!
He was "re-gifting"

Merry Christmas Morning! I love the magic of it all. Even as the kids get bigger, there's still magic in running out of the bedroom full speed toward a pile of gifts and stockings! We are so blessed! We had a wonderful Christmas!

My Favorite Reindeer

How cute is he?
I love school Christmas Programs! Breven's class did such a great job playing jingle bells on the boom whackers and singing festive tunes! These days pass by soooooooo quickly! Stay little forever Breven!

These are a Few of My Favorite Things

Out to a Beautiful Breakfast complete with my mom, lovely gifts, and my favorite breakfast......eggs benedict! Does it get any better?
My girls came over for yummy homemade pizza and peppermint ice cream dessert!
Thank you Mom and Dad for...........my life!
29! Happy Birthday to me! What a wonderful day spent with wonderful people who love and spoil me rotten. Despite the sheets of rain, I had an awesome birthday filled with all of my favorite things! Not to mention the birthday week that I had before hand celebrating with my Blythe girls and New Moon! Thanks for all the fun! Watch out 30 here I come!

HOMEless FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This was our Family Christmas Picture this year! Complete with our newsletter filled with all of our most important yearly updates like the swine flu, livin' in our rv, Breven losin' his teeth faster than that hen he's holdin' can lay eggs, and our scout son Brad tyin' up the tightest knots in town keepin' that tarp down so our leak in the roof won't drip! Sadly, some of that is true! We couldn't help but monopolize on the opportunity to send a Christmas card like that! If we can laugh at it we can live with it right? Merry Christmas from our rv to yours!

You Spin Me Right Round, Baby Right Round!

Twelve years and you still spin my wheels!
Our first date was here almost 15 years ago!
Showing off his Mad Skills!
Oh......I know........I missed my calling!

So fourteen years ago I got a phone call from "Coach Bryce" inviting me to Fiesta Village for some mini golf and go cart races. Of course the butterflies in my stomach began to fly. He told me that there were going to be a couple of other friends joining in. I said yes immediately and began to obsess over the details of my first date! The other friends called it off and so it was official........just the two of us! Oh if I'd only known! We had a great night of competition and lots of laughs. We went to the gas station on the way home and I leaned over to unlock his truck door for him........that's when he knew...........I was his girl! Is that too funny? A few minutes later he drove me up the hill to "a place where you can see all the lights in the city." (A.K.A. a lookout spot) I was soooooo naive! That's where we had our first smooch! And the rest is history!
So for our 12 year anniversary Bryce surprised me with a remake of our first date! We had so much fun laughing and trying not to brake our necks! Roller skating was actually something we had never done after all these years. We headed over to a beautiful Italian restaurant for dinner, which didn't exactly replicate our trip to Baker's years ago, but I made an exception! Of course we had to end the night with one more smooch at our lookout spot! Best surprise of the night........we had a perfect view of the Redlands Temple! We laughed and thought that maybe it should have been there years ago as a reminder to CTR! Here's to many more years of laughing and smooching! Love you Babe!

Keepin' Warm!

Brad and Brev with cousin Emma
Trish and Aunt Terry
Candy Apple's are his FAVE!

Terry and Emma came out for the day and we talked them into a quick trip to the snow. Yay for Emma......poor Terry! What a fun time we had. Fried apple doughnuts, hot cider, candy apples, and snow ball fights!

Another trip to Disneyland!

He really has become like an uncle. He makes it in many family albums.
It's not everyday you get to climb on a playground of skulls!
Posing for a picture on the suspension bridge. (one of their favorite places)

Breven was so happy to be tall enough to ride Indiana Jones!

Thankful for Family

BTBB Fam

Thankful for this porch and the many memories made there.
Thankful for these boys.
Thankful to be an Auntie.......and for olive fingers!
Thankful for Breven.

This year's Thanksgiving was EVENTFUL! We had planned a trip to Utah to play in the colorful leaves and hike the red rocks............WRONG! Breven, Brad and Mom had H1N1 instead! Good thing Dad was off of work for the week! Once we recovered, our moms made a light turkey dinner for us and we finally felt like normal. We were thankful for our daily health after that awful sickness all weekend!

Halloween and Pumpkin Patch Fun

Hobos for Halloween! My friend Judy and Breven were lookin' good. Breven carried around a cardboard sign that said "Blythe or bust!"
Go Big Blue! I always thought that I'd save these for my daughter........oh well! Might as well use them! Bodie and Brad were too cute!

After a grueling finish at Mt. Sac Invitational! Did I mention it was over 100 degrees?
Always finished strong!

Way to go bud! Brad joined the Cross Country team and wowed us all! He ran hard and finished strong every time! It was so great to watch him in his first school sport. Looking forward to many more x country meets to come!

Disgruntled Recipient

I can't help but tell this funny story. Breven received the reading award for his class. His sweet teacher doted on him telling the school that he loved to read so much that he never puts his books inside his desk, just in case he has time to sneak in some extra reading. Too cute right? So she calls him up and everyone is clapping......he takes the award, which is a coupon for a free McDonald's cheeseburger, and begins to pout. The whole awards ceremony he was looking smug and I even think he rolled his eyes! As soon as the assembly was over, I took him aside and explained to him that it was not polite to act that way, and he was not showing gratitude. I told him that there were lots of other kids that would have gladly accepted an award with a smile. He then looked up at me and said,"Well mom, it's not that I'm not grateful, it's just that you never let me eat McDonald's hamburgers anyway." Too funny! Out of the mouths of babes. And for the record, we did go and eat a McDonald's burger. Way to go Breven!

Sushi, Sushi!

Bryce and I headed out to the desert for a date night with Cook and Jess! It was my first time eating sushi! I was thrilled to try something new. Bryce of course ordered, "Whatever you COOK." My first sushi bite! Yuuuuuuuummm-O!
Sunshine Sushi was Cookie's recommendation. Note to self: always go to a sushi bar with someone who has lived in Japan before.
I've had a lot of "firsts" with this girl by my side. Love you Jess!

LIVESTRONG

My brother Gerry amazed us all once again with a spur of the moment 1400 mile bicycle ride from Santa Monica, CA to Austin, TX for the LIVESTRONG organization to cure cancer. So many that we know have been affected by this terrible disease and thanks to Gerry, we learned that EVERYONE can do their part. To follow this AMAZING journey you can log onto www.bikeblood.com.
Brad, and Breven were inspired to ride along........at least for 5 miles or so.
Yes, a cure for cancer is 100% possible!

Smash 'Em Up

A boys day of FUN! We have a friend who owns a tow yard and he invited the boys to come and watch on the day that they crush the cars. Cool huh? We picked up our nephews Riley and Cooper and headed to the action.
They even got to push the "Crusher button!" Thanks Martin for a cool boys day!

Big Bear Boys

We took off to the Lake to enjoy some R&R. The boys fished off the kayak ALL day and Bryce and I ate snacks and read books. Ahhhhh, the good life.

New Kids on the Block

No not the boy band......Brad and Breven started school in a new place! With the move came new schools, new friends, and SEVEN new teachers! Brad started in his first year of middle school! He has six classes, a 30 pound backpack, and a ton of homework! Brev is in second this year with the greatest teacher and a beautiful school. Here's to a great year boys. Have fun, be good, and remember that this time really does go by quickly so ENJOY it!

Has it been 10 years?

My high school reunion was a crack up! Class of '99 really knows how to have a good time. I was presented with the prestigious "FIRE CRACKER" award.....whatever that means.
Friends forever right? It was great to catch up with the girls. (left to right) I met Kim in 4th grade, Ali in Kindergarten, and Diana in Junior High. Well, it looks like we turned out after all.
Life flies by when you are busy having fun! We've come quite a way from Cougar's cheerleader and BHS pole vault coach!
