Life is good.....

especially when you're on vacation!

Weird Science

I love Summer vacation! Lots of fun packed into three months of unscheduled, organized chaos! We stopped by the O.C. Discovery Museum. The kids enjoyed the grossology exhibits the most where they learned about anything and everything that was grosser than gross! Then we went to a 4-D dinosaur movie complete with sweet glasses. We finished off our day leaving a REAL IMPRESSION on the place if you know what I mean. Check out our little E.T. Breven!

Our Trip to Knott's

Another stop on the vacation route! The boys loved Knott's Berry Farm. Breven was finally tall enough for a few "big kid" rides and Brad out rode me hands down. The tallest, fastest, loopiest rides had nothing on him. He rode them over and over, no hands and all. We left with a headache but I don't know if it was from the rides or the laughing. We had a blast!

camp + ride + boat + nap = vacation

"Eye" love it!

Here's lookin' at you kid! Brad starts cracking up in the back seat of the car. "Mom, quick get the camera! Breven do it again." Breven: "Do what?" Brad: "Put that bottle up on your eyes again. Mom, seriously, you've got to see this." I hand him the camera. He takes the pic and hands it up to the front. My mom is cracking up. I take one look and lose it. How do they come up with this stuff? They make me laugh.

Red, White, and Blue!

playin' at the park with Gram
silly string fights....guess who won?
boys, boys, boys!
cousins Riley and Cooper

I always look forward to the 4th! There is something about laying on a blanket in the cool grass, listening to "I'm proud to be an American" while watching the fireworks! We are proud to be Americans. We are grateful to those who have given service and even their lives for our safety and freedoms today. We pray daily for the safety of those who serve us today and for the sacrafices that they give on our behalf. We enjoyed spending the day with family and wearing our red, white, and blue!

My heart beats for Hot Wheels!

I hear him yelling from the play room, "Mom, can you come in here?" I hate when they scream for me so I say, "If you need something you can come ask me. Don't yell." Brad: "Mom, you really have to come in here." As I am rounding the corner, mumbling I see the love note. Oh my gosh. How cute is that. Talk about feeling bad for harping on him. Notice the heart is made out of only the red cars. I love this boy.

World Travelers

How can you not laugh?
I love these two guys!

Back to my Roots!

It's not summer without the Cherry Festival! It's soooooo much fun to relive my childhood through the eyes of my boys. Why is it that the rides seem much smaller now? Why do I pay more attention to the nuts and bolts and the "operating engineers" instead of the lights on the zipper? The slides still seem tall and the gunny sacks are still itchy, but I have officially grown up, and grown out of the Cherry Festival. Oh and I can't forget the obnoxious horn blowing at the parade. My bro challenged us all to a horn blowing contest of sorts. It was obnoxiously hilarious! And of course, my boys got to take home the horn. Thanks Uncle! Don't worry pay backs are coming.
