He is Risen!

He is risen! He is risen!
Tell it out with joyful voice. He has burst his three days' prison;
Let the whole wide earth rejoice.
Death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory.
He is risen! He is risen!
He hath opened heaven's gate.
We are free from sisn's dark prison, risen to a holier state.
And a brighter Easter beam
On our longing eyes shall stream.

Wow where have the years gone? Eleven years ago today our lives changed as we welcomed our first son into the world. Little Bradley Ethan weighing in at 7 pounds 12 ounces and 21 1/4 inches long at 3:21 AM. No longer our little son, but a young man. Happy Birthday Son! You have been the light of our lives since the day you were born. We have loved every minute of being your parents. We are proud of the young man that you've become and we're looking forward to watching you grow up, just don't rush it okay?

Boogie Nights
Don't the white shoes and belt bring out his collar?
So Friday night was the annual Elders Quorum BBQ full of fellowshipping, fantastic food, and FUNKYTOWN?! Bryce came up with the hilarious idea to arrive at the get together dressed in our best seventies attire. Our friends Cade and Erica were such great sports to join in the fun. (What happened to the pics of Cade?) His pants were the best! (It's the pleats. He's going to have to take the pants back to the pant store-Ron Burgandy) What a blast it was! For all who attended thanks for being such good sports. Let's rock the eighties next time.

It's Official!

We're moving back home! It still doesn't seem real, but we can't take it back now. Bryce officially got his transfer date of July 01 and so on the last day of school, we're headed out. We said we'd be here for about a year, that became six! We really didn't expect to love it here so much. It has been our little gem in the desert. So many people here have welcomed us into their families and we can never thank them enough. We will leave a piece of our hearts here always, and look forward to retirement where we can call ourselves "snow-birds." Until then, we'll be out for river floats, camping trips, and of course FRIENDS!

Take a little time for LoVe
I love you, not only for who you are,
but for who I am when I am with you.
Wow! What a wonderful getaway! Bryce and I took off to Arizona for a little "mini-moon" and loved every minute. Of course I cried as we got on the freeway leaving the boys, but I knew they were in good hands. Bryce's mom and sister came out to stay since our kids were in school. They are so awesome. It's always hard to make the time, save the money, and iron out the details, but it only takes one night away to figure out IT"S WORTH IT! We had so much fun being together. We stayed at One Suite Bed and Breakfast in Prescott, AZ where we were pampered with delicious food, delightful company, and a dreamy bedroom. We even booked a couple's massage at a gorgeous spa with a fireplace in our room! It's always important to get away for a bit and remember what it's like to just BE together. Here's to many more "mini-moons" babe!
Alwyas Magical!
Just thought it was a cute photo op!
With Bryce having so many days off lately we decided to play hooky and go to the Magic Kindom! The boys haven't missed a day of school yet, so we didn't feel as guilty. It was a rainy Monday and Tuesday so we had no lines, no crowds, and all the churros we could eat! We love it here!

This year Brad had to do a science project. He and his buddy Andy paired up and went to work. They're project was called, "Musical Plants" and they tested how plants were affected by music. They experimented with Church Hymns, AC/DC and none. The "none" plant grew the tallest. Peace and quiet isn't overrated even in the plant kingdom. The "Hymns" plant came in second, and you guessed it, AC/DC in dead last. Good job boys! Now onto the District Science Fair. Good Luck!
